The property was acquired in the fall of 2023, and we have been working to upgrade and restore the features and amenities of the campground. Situated near the Tongass National Forest, Salmon Glacier, and the Fish Creek Wildlife Observational Platform, Eagle Shadow Campground is a great destination for travelers seeking a peaceful retreat.

 

We are a family owned and operated, fully functioning campground. Hello there! Are you ready for an amazing camping experience in Hyder, Alaska? Look no further than our fantastic Campground!

There is a lot to do in our area from Hiking, to sightseeing, bear viewing, boating, fishing, birdwatching, etc. We have a little of everything in our little corner of Alaska!

You'll be blown away by the views of Salmon Glacier and Portland Canal, and make sure to check out the grizzly bears catching Salmon at the Fish Creek Wildlife observation area while you're here! If you hit it just right, you may even see some wolves coming out to get their fill of fish.
